# MVP Build | Octacer

> Your first release, built and launched at a fixed quote.

- **HTML:** https://octacer.com/services/mvp-build
- **Company:** Octacer is a software engineering and automation services company. It adds engineers to client teams, or delivers scoped automation, repair and MVP projects in client-owned tools and accounts.

## What it is

We scope, design, build, test and launch your first release, with the core user journey working end to end in a product deployed in accounts you own. There is no standard price: every first release gets its own fixed quote, confirmed in writing after scoping, and is paid in three milestone stages.

## Who it fits

- Founders and teams who need the whole first release delivered, not individual developers to manage
- A customer portal, SaaS tool, web or mobile app, or AI application with one core journey
- A pilot, launch or customer date the release has to meet
- Someone on your side who can make product decisions within a few days

## Not a fit

- You already have engineers and need more of them: see [Engineering Capacity](https://octacer.com/services/engineering-capacity), from $1,900/month
- A prototype that exists and needs hardening: see [Prototype to Production](https://octacer.com/solutions/prototype-to-production)
- One workflow to automate, not a product: see [Automation Sprint](https://octacer.com/services/automation-sprint), from $750
- Every feature you can imagine in version one

## What's included

- One primary user journey, with its supporting workflows listed in the scope
- UX for the core journey
- Frontend, backend and the data storage it needs
- Sign-in and permissions where the product needs them
- The integrations listed in the scope
- Tests on the agreed critical paths
- Deployed in accounts you own, with error monitoring and handover documentation
- 30 days of defect fixes after launch
- Priced by scope: payments and billing, AI features, native mobile apps, data migration, complex or custom integrations

## Price

- Scoping call: free; straightforward products get a written scope and fixed quote at no cost
- Scope Sprint: $500 fixed, ready in 3–5 business days, credited once in full against the build
- First release build: fixed quote after scoping; the price moves with the complexity of the core journey, integrations, AI features, and web only versus web and mobile
- Hosting, AI usage, third-party subscriptions and app-store developer accounts are billed to your own accounts, estimated during scoping

## Payment terms

- 40% when the scope is approved, before the build starts
- 30% when the core journey is demonstrated on staging
- 30% after production deployment and handover, with an agreed acceptance review window before launch
- New features, changed requirements and third-party changes are scoped and quoted separately

## How it starts

1. Free 30-minute scoping call: your users, core journey, budget and launch date
2. Written scope and fixed quote: free for straightforward products, or a $500 Scope Sprint first (credited in full)
3. Scope → Design → Build → Verify → Launch, with one delivery lead, regular demos and a decision point before each payment

## Ownership and access

- You own the code, designs, documentation and the accounts it runs in
- Scope Sprint documents are yours to keep, even if you decide not to proceed
- NDA available; only necessary access is requested and you can revoke it at any time

## FAQ

### What exactly do we get?

A deployed first release in accounts you own, where the agreed core journey works end to end, with the code, tests on the critical paths, error monitoring, handover documentation and 30 days of defect fixes after launch.

### Do we have to pay for scoping?

The scoping call is free, and straightforward products get a written scope and fixed quote at no cost. Products that need deeper discovery start with a $500 Scope Sprint, paid upfront once the deliverables are agreed, ready in 3–5 business days, and credited in full against the build.

### How do payments work?

40% when you approve the scope, before the build starts; 30% when the core journey is demonstrated on staging; and 30% after production deployment and handover. A Scope Sprint fee is credited once against the total.

### What happens after launch?

For 30 calendar days after launch we fix delivered functionality that does not meet the agreed requirements, at no cost. New features and changed requirements are scoped separately, and you can continue with engineers by the month.

### Will the MVP get us customers or funding?

We cannot promise that. We deliver the agreed software and can help you measure how people use it; whether customers want it is what the first release is for testing.
